Recovery of Vital Items
The pilot’s recorder and data recorder were recovered, and the engine was discovered on the airfield.
The units – referred to as flight recorders – were built to survive collision damage and intense temperatures from infernos, and they looked to be undamaged when located within the crash debris. Authorities plan on analyzing information from the recorders.
The plane’s final recorded information showed an height of 475 ft and a velocity of 210 miles per hour prior to the accident.
